Did you know that you can renew your books and manage your account
online? Just click on the link at the top of this page to visit our online
catalog. Click on "begin search" and then "my account." This will bring
up a log-in window. Type in the bar-code number on the back of your
library card in the "account number" space and then your "PIN"
number. If you don't have a "PIN" number, you will need to call the
library to set one up. Once you have logged in you will be able to see
what items you have checked out, and their due dates. If you need help
call the library. We will be happy to assist you.

We receive new donations almost daily so the shelves get new
materials continually. There is something for everyone!

Explore 1000 Books! A program for families with
children, birth through preschool. This free program
encourages you to read 1000 books with your child
before he or she enters school- a goal experts say
children need to help them learn to read for themselves.
Our kick off date is May 7, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m..
Bring your child/children to the library and register
them. They will receive a record book to keep track of
the books you read and you will receive a special gift for
joining us for our kick off. If you can't make the kick off
day, you may register at any time. Just stop by the
TIMES & LOCATION:
Monday, June 29 , 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the library.
Tuesday, June 30, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the library.
These classes fill up quickly. Each class is limited to 8. Come join the fun!
|CARD MAKING & MORE
We will be opening up the basement for anyone wishing to browse the books
for sale. Anytime the library is open, just let the staff know that you would
like to go down to the sale and they will be happy to assist you.

"Have A Ball This Summer, Read A Book"
June 16, - August 31, 2015
How it works:
You must be 16 years of age or over to participate.
Begin reading or listening to fiction or non-fiction June 16, thru
August 31. Books must be checked out from the Dowling Public
Library. (MelCat or eBooks count.)
Read 10 books before the end of August and receive a "Big Chill
Lunch Cooler" perfect for taking to the beach. (While supplies last.
One per person.)
For each book you finish, you can complete one entry form for the
grand prize. Up to 10 entries can be added to the grand prize jar.
Entries may be turned in at the library between June 16, and August
31, 2015. The grand prize drawing will take place on September 2nd.

Price includes: grommets, purse strap and full step by step instructions by an
experienced instructor. Bring: Scissors, a roll of duct tape (color of your choice).
Bring 2 rolls if you want a 2 color purse. You will also need a 1/2 yard of fabric for
lining the inside of your bag. Class size is limited, so sign up today to save your spot!
